A Community Iftar Dinner

The Seward Neighborhood Group is delighted to partner with Masjid Rawdah to host a community Iftar Dinner on May 8th 2019.

Come at 8:15 if you would like to tour the Mosque or 8:30 to meet your neighbors and break the Ramadan fast at Sunset.

The Rawdah Community Center opens its doors to its neighbors who are interested in learning about and taking part in an Iftar, the evening meal that’s part of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims.

Ramadan marks the time when the Koran was revealed to the prophet Mohammed. Considered the holiest time of the year in the Muslim calendar, it is set to begin on May 5th and conclude this year on June fourth this year.

Muslims believe it was during this month that God revealed the first verses of the Quran, Islam’s sacred text, to Mohammed, on a night known as “The Night of Power” (or Laylat al-Qadr in Arabic).

Location: 2426 26th Ave. S. Minneapolis, MN 55406
