DESCRIPTION:The mission of the History Committee is to collect\, research\, and interpret stories and historical events related to the Seward Neighborhood\, and to share them with the public for the purpose of education. \nThe History Committee meets in-person on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 4:00 pm at Matthews Center in the Craft Room. To learn more about the committee’s projects and agendas\, email history@sng.org for more information. \nThe history committee is primarily a research work group and open to all Sewardites who are interested in exploring local history. All are welcome to attend.

DESCRIPTION:The Community Engagement Committee (CEC) works to improve the social aspects of the neighborhood(e.g. renter issues\, police/community relations\, homeless encampments\, public art\, community gardening\, crime/safety issues\, and post-pandemic recovery efforts)\, and create equitable engagement through events and programming. \nThe CEC meets most months on the 3rd Mondays from 6:30-8:00pm in-person at the Matthews Recreation Center Craft Room or via Google Meet. DESCRIPTION:The Seward Environment Committee (SEC) encourages and supports all residents who want to organize environmental actions and initiatives.  Everyone is welcome including youth\, renters\, businesses\, people who work or school in Seward\, diverse communities and the elders of our community. \nThe SEC meets on the 4th Thursday of most months at 6:30 pm at Matthews Park Center\, in the Craft Room.
