History Walk Tonight!

Join the SNG History Committee for the first History Walk of 2018 tonight, July 11!

A trip around the perimeter of the Hennepin County Agriculture Society fairgrounds. In our earliest years, Seward was home to fifteen Grand Expositions, County and State Fairs from 1865 to 1883. Leaders will be the History Committee. Photos and posted signs will indicate fair activities. Meet in front of the doors to Matthews Center at 7 p.m.

Garden Tour & Party June 21

Tour beautiful Seward gardens and relax in the beauty of your neighbors yards. If you like to garden there are plenty of new ideas for you to incorporate, if you don’t like to garden you can just walk around and enjoy the fruits of others labors. This event ends with a lavish garden party complete with raffle prizes and great food. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the event.

Seward Concert Band Tomorrow Night

2018 Finale Series
A Celebration of Music in our Community

The Seward Concert Band welcomes our friends and neighbors to celebrate the energy of the changing seasons with our 2018 season finale series. This June, we’ll be playing pieces that bring out the energy of the early summer and celebrate community.

Join us for our formal concert to close the season on Friday, June 1st at the Sanford Middle School auditorium in Minneapolis. Our performance begins at 7:30 PM in the auditorium. Suggested donations are $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $4 students and children.

The band is also performing at the Minnehaha Falls Bandshell on Wednesday, June 6 at 7 pm. Bring the whole family for a beautiful evening outdoors with great music and company.

Meeting with City Assessor May 30

Do you have questions about the increase in the assessed value of your property for this year?
Many people in Ward 2 saw significant increases in the assessed value of their homes this year. To help understand and discuss this and its relation to possible property tax
increase in the future and other issues, City Council member, Cam Gordon will be convening a Community Meeting with the City Assessor on Valuations. The City Assessor will discuss this years valuations and answer questions.
