A family friendly Sierra Club “Transit to Green Space” outing: Enjoy (for free!) the new bus route to visit Fort Snelling!

It’s the official launch day for extended bus to historic Fort Snelling! Go green, and celebrate by joining a family-friendly Memorial Day outing.
Download a FREE Metro Transit bus pass for the ½ hour, ride from Matthews Park (or anywhere along the newly extended Bus Route 7, visit the historic fort, and take a short trail walk if desired. We’ll plan to return on the 11:42 or 12:12 bus, though you can choose to stay longer.
We’ll start our outing first with a ride on the extended route # 7, and then continue with a visit to the Fort. Check out the many activities on the gala opening weekend. You need one Metro Transit pass per paying age rider (can be on your phone). Note there is a charge at the Fort for adults and children over 5.
Never tried riding the bus with kids before? They love it! Haven’t been to historic Fort Snelling in a long time? Here’s your chance! Come out, enjoy the ride, and the activities at the Fort… and don’t forget snacks or lunch, and water!
