Meet the people doing the work behind the scenes! Board members are volunteers who meet monthly, and on special occasions, to ensure our neighborhood group can support its residents.
Meet our Board of Directors
The SNG Board of Directors is composed of residents and a business representative from the Seward Neighborhood. We hold meetings on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 6:30-8:30pm. All meetings are open to the public.
Wendy Casey
Wendy (she/her) joined the SNG Board in the winter of 2025, and became the President in the spring of 2026. Contact her at wendy@sng.org.
Terry Barnes
Terry (she/her) has been active on the SNG Board, as well as being an organizer of events in Seward and projects such as founding the 36th ART initiative since 2021. She serves as co-chair of Seward’s Environment Committee, and serves on the Small Grants Committee. Terry is inspired the most by simple things that make Seward a welcoming and fun place to live. Tami Traeger
Tami (she/her) serves on the Seward Small Grants Committee, and helped revive Seward’s Community Engagement Committee in 2025. Contact her at tami@sng.org.
Jordan Moghanaki
Jordan (he/him) moved to Seward in 2025 to start a Master’s of Urban and Regional Planning at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. His favorite Seward features are pollinator boulevards, sambusas and tea at Capitol Cafe, and trivia at ABOTO. He is a member of Seward’s Community Engagement Committee and Environment Committee, and serves as the Board Treasurer. Contact him at jordan@sng.org. Gabe Epstein
Gabe (he/him) has lived in Seward for over 5 years, serving on the SNG board since 2025. Gabe has a deep love for this neighborhood, a professional background in community development, and a passion for supporting neighbors in building their dream community. He serves on the Seward Small Grants Committee, and Seward’s Community Development Committee. Contact him at gabe@sng.org.
Martha Denton
Martha has lived in Seward since January 2025 and been on the SNG board since May 2026. Her favorite things about Seward are the sense of civic engagement and solidarity, the neighborhood’s progressive history, the green spaces like Matthew’s Park, the Route 7 bus, and the banana chocolate chip muffins at the Seward Co-Op. All meetings held by the Board of Directors are open to the public. We meet once a month, and sometimes hold space for special guests from surrounding communities.
