Thank you to all of our Block club leaders who organized great NNO parties all over Seward. Creative ideas included chalk art, visits by council members, bicycle performances, a rented snow cone maker and storm drain cleanup. We also want to thank all the local businesses who donated prizes or food/drinks for our NNO raffles, these include the Seward Coop, Birchwood Café, Los Campeones, Peace Coffee, Welna II, Pizza Luce, Jim the Barber, K’uh Chocolate, Zipps Liquors and Shamrock Marketing.
On one block a MN Master Water Steward in the Mississippi River watershed coordinated a project that involved getting block party attendees to volunteer to clean up the storm drains and adopt them for keeping them clean.
