Second Harvest Heartland is working to promote the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and connect students with meals throughout the summer. SFSP is a federally funded, state-administered program, which provides free meals and snacks to anyone 18 and under.
At Second Harvest it is their goal to connect as many students with free meals as possible. Currently, there is a mobile app where students can find meal site locations, hours of operation, and types of meals the are served.
