The Building Ambassador Program connects neighbors to community news, events, and programs in rental properties across Greater Longfellow and Seward.
Building Ambassador Program
About this program
Building Ambassadors are volunteers from rental properties throughout the Greater Longfellow and Seward neighborhoods. Ambassadors may receive a small stipend for participating in this program. Stipend will depend on the size of the building and the amount of work required.
Depending on the size and number of tenants in a building, we will connect with one individual from each rental property in the area who are willing to regularly connect with those in their building to share LCC and SNG events, news, and neighborhood happenings.
As an ambassador, you will…
- Invite your neighbors to connect with LCC and SNG
- Handout neighborhood welcome packets to new residents
- Pass along news
- Share events
- Participate at least six months
- Stay in touch with us
We will…
- Provide information on events, including printed flyers
- Provide updates on issues and news that affect our area
- Provide information on programs and resources
How you connect with the people in your building will depend on where you live.
So, getting the word out might mean forwarding an email, sharing a graphic to a Facebook group, putting up a flyer to a physical community board, in-person sharing at building events, making phone calls or sending texts, or knocking on doors.
Please complete the application if this sounds like something you would be interested in participating in. For more information email info@longfellow.org or contact Jasmine Epps-Flowers at jasmine@sng.org
