Boneshaker Books and Seward neighborhood residents will hold a memorial vigil honoring the people killed by police in the Twin Cities, followed by a teach-in by Dominique Diaddigo-Cash, a restorative justice practitioner on alternatives to police. We are calling the Seward neighborhood together to pledge to stop relying on the police.
Dominique will be joined by Ilhan Omar, community members honoring all those killed by police in the Twin Cities, and Seward residents Ramla Bile and Emma Youndtsmith.
This is an educational, family-friendly event open to all people residing in the Seward neighborhood. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, attendees should wear masks and practice social distancing. Please bring flowers for the vigil. Water and a limited number of flowers will be provided. Thu. June 11, 7:30pm in Matthews Park
