City holding online meeting March 2 on transforming community safety work
The City is working to create holistic community safety services with much staff, partner and community participation. This process is focusing on three main areas:
- Preventing violence.
- Alternative responders to police for some 911 calls.
- Reforming law enforcement policies, protocols and practices.
An online informational meeting about the City’s work to transform community safety has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 2.
