City holding online meeting March 2 on transforming community safety work

The City is working to create holistic community safety services with much staff, partner and community participation. This process is focusing on three main areas:

  1. Preventing violence.
  2. Alternative responders to police for some 911 calls.
  3. Reforming law enforcement policies, protocols and practices.

An online informational meeting about the City’s work to transform community safety has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 2.
