3rd Police Precinct Site Community Conversation (5 of 5)

Longfellow Community Council is thankful and energized to be a part of the community engagement efforts around the future site of the police building in the 3rd precinct as it is vital to bring residents, businesses and community organizations into the conversation and that we start the work of taking down the barbed wire and bringing the site at Lake and Minnehaha back to community use.
Phase I of this community engagement effort will ask, “Should the 3rd Precinct police building be located at Lake and Minnehaha or an alternate site?” We are looking to the full community of the 3rd precinct for the answer.
To be a part of the conversation, please join us at our final community conversation session on Wednesday, April 19th from 6:30pm – 8:30pm at Sabathani Community Center (310 E 38th St, Minneapolis 55409). This event is open to everyone with the priority of hearing from those who live, work or own businesses within the 3rd Precinct. Snacks and beverages provided.

If you are unable to attend the in-person sessions, the City will have an online survey where you can give your thoughts about the future of the 3rd Precinct Site. The website also includes information on the engagement process and the location of the alternative site for the 3rd Precinct.
