Seward Towers East & West

Seward Towers Corporation owns two-high-rise apartment buildings on Franklin Ave. The two buildings are named Seward Towers East and Seward Towers West, after their directional relationship with each other. As of 2026, the buildings are managed by The Community Builders, and CommonBond manages Advantage Services, which provides free resources and programming to all residents.

Sewing Circle

Today the Sewing Circle exists to teach residents of Seward Towers to use a sewing machine, and offers mending for garments and home cloths. The program has been successful in providing regular access to sewing machines for the Seward Tower residents. In addition it has encouraged them to interact with volunteers and visitors from outside of the Towers and to socialize with others.

Read a personal note from the original organizers of the Sewing Circle.
