Membership is open to everyone who lives, works, plays, shops, and worships in Seward. Members collaborate to develop programs and events that build an inclusive, equitable, and engaged Seward neighborhood.
What we work on together
We discuss the topics that shape everyday life in Seward, informed by resident voice and local action. New ideas and topics are always welcome.
Connection
Keeping neighbors informed and engaged through clear communication about SNG initiatives and opportunities to get involved.
Belonging
Building an inclusive, equitable community where everyone has access to events, programs, and a voice in neighborhood life.
Safety
Helping residents stay informed and prepared for emergencies, from natural disasters to public health concerns, so our community can respond and recover together.

The Community Engagement Committee meets most months on the 3rd Mondays of each month from 6:30-8:00pm in-person at the Matthews Recreation Center Craft Room or via Google Meet.

History Committee
The mission of the History Committee is to collect, research, and interpret stories and historical events related to the Seward Neighborhood and to share them with the public for purpose of education.
Environment Committee
The Environment Committee is a great way to build community and create hope. Get to know neighbors and do something, even something small, to protect and improve our natural environment. Together, we can take small steps, on our way to the changes we need.
Community Development Committee
Ensures that Seward’s built environment—commercial, industrial, housing, parks, roads, bikeways, pedestrian environment, utilities—is safe, improving, serves all residents, owners and workers, is well-maintained and environmentally sustainable.
