Seward’s committees are where ideas turn into action. Each group focuses on a different part of community life, and volunteers shape the work. Membership varies by committee. You may join every meeting or just the most interesting ones.

Community Development Committee

Ensures that Seward’s built environment—commercial, industrial, housing, parks, roads, bikeways, pedestrian environment, utilities—is safe, improving, serves all residents, owners and workers, is well-maintained and environmentally sustainable.

Assesses resident well-being and community needs, from renter issues and public safety to community resilience and recovery. Members collaborate to develop programs and events that build an inclusive, equitable, and engaged Seward neighborhood.
