Plant Trees at the Sand Flats

Join Friends of the Mississippi River and help plant native floodplain trees in the sand flats on Saturday, September 16 from 9-11 am. Meet near 34th and West River Parkway (Registrants will be emailed directions to meeting spot).
FMR and neighbors have been working on removing invasive buckthorn in this area and are now get to do the exciting work of planting native floodplain trees (donated by Mississippi Park Connection!) to provide much-needed habitat.
(Heads up: Plantings are limited capacity and tend to fill quickly.)
