Seward Neighborhood Group (SNG) has a job opening for an on-site Neighborhood Organizer to work alongside our volunteers to grow and maintain community programming.
Do you or someone you know love to connect with others? Our ideal candidate is a self-starting initiator with strong communication skills. We’re looking for someone who can learn how to read the pulse of the neighborhood, and direct energy where it’s needed most. Outreach is the primary responsibility of our Neighborhood Organizer.
Are you or someone you know organized and adept and managing multiple projects at once? SNG hosts annual events and seasonal programs to connect with residents and build community. We’re looking for someone who can maintain these legacy programs, and adapt new programming to meet the interests of Seward residents. This job is equal parts event planning and execution.
This is a paid position starting at 20-25 hours per week. There is no central office, but you may be expected to show up to in-person meetings in the Seward neighborhood, and may work remotely from a location of your choosing.
