The Seward Environment Committee (SEC) encourages and supports all residents who want to organize environmental actions and initiatives. Everyone is welcome including youth, renters, businesses, people who work or school in Seward, diverse communities and the elders of our community.
The SEC meets on the 4th Thursday of most months at 6:30 pm at Matthews Park Center, in the Craft Room. Click this link to view what’s on the agenda for our upcoming meeting, and read the minutes from our previous meetings.
To save our ecosystems, we need major changes at the level of government policy and officials, and changes in corporate profit incentives. Can you, by yourself, do much to protect the environment? Your individual actions, even small ones, can be a seed for meaningful action.
We in Seward have a long history of community engagement, enjoying and working with our neighbors, and we hope you will join us!
